Hello, my name is Jon and this is my story, told in the third person... because it sounds cooler. Jon was a simple boy born in Alberta and raised in Ontario. His Dad, only the coolest person he knows, worked as a Captain in the Canadian Air Force where he aided in the struggle for Canadian world domination. Being the son of a Military man means you can't stay attached to one place for too long. Jon has been on the move from town to town, city to city, since as long as he can remember. Starting in Cold Lake, Alberta, he's moved nearly a half a dozen times, from Cold Lake to Borden, Borden to Batawa, Batawa to Angus, Angus to Sudbury, and then from Sudbury to Toronto, where he has finally escaped the clutches of the Military and is able to settle in a city that he loves. But his journey to become the best web developer began in Angus around the age of 14.
Picture the oldest computer you've ever owned, the one he had was older than that. But it was enough to get him started in html. He opened notepad and made his first, html coded, red background box. He since then has been honing his skills through self teaching and school. When he turned 17 he decided to continue his bilingual education and enrolled in a bilingual college in Sudbury called College Boreal. After graduating, 3 years later, he found himself a job as a web developper in Sudbury at a company called AYR1. Working at AYR1 was a great experience for him, as he learned even more about the art of web development and grew to love it even more. Sudbury, being a small mining town up North, was not necessarily the information driven city he wanted to settle down in. So as soon as the time was right, he packed his things and headed to Toronto. He's is now working for a company downtown called Nurun and he is loving the fact that these guys are paying him for something he would gladly do for free (don't get any ideas though, he still charges for his work).
Needless to say, I'm 25 years old and love web design. I have a diploma in IT, I've designed and coded dozens of sites and will continue designing and coding till everyone has a site. It might take me a while.
